About

"We" are a small family of believers sharing a common conviction that the Word of God is the only source of Christian doctrine.

Purpose: Preach the Word

In 2nd Timothy, we are told:

This letter was written close to the end of Paul's life and the closing of the Apostolic age. His instructions to Timothy might well be our own instructions. We may note that when the times described in 2nd Timothy arrive, there is nothing more for us to do than "preach the word".

I charge [you] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, Who shall judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. -- 2 Timothy 4:1,2

We believe those times are here and that "necessity is laid" upon us (1 Corinthians 9:16) to simply "preach the word". Programs and pageants may do for professing Christianity, but only doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction are profitable and able to make one "wise unto salvation" (2 Timothy 3:15).

What is "the Word" that should be preached? It is the "word of faith" that we preach (Romans 10:8). It is not the word of men; it is not the sundry doctrines of organized Christianity, but "as it is in truth, the Word of God" (1 Thessalonians 2:13), namely this:

And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. -- 1 John 3:23
