Statement of Faith

We reject the creeds, catechisms, and extra-biblical documents of the organized "Christian" religions. Whenever men and women organize themselves into groups, there is a risk for perpetuating error.

There is no "safety in numbers" where corruption is concerned. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished (Proverbs 11:21). A lie is still untrue no matter how many believe its veracity. Abominations, blasphemy, and the doctrine of devils will always be pleasant to itching ears.

Yet, in this present day of divided and diluted "Christianity", we feel it is necessary to share with both believers and non-believers what we believe, and in some detail, because it is through these means that we hope to motivate the reader from the zombie-like state that is exhibited today.

A Work in Progress, Subject to More Reading

A good friend of ours has often said that "Everything I believe is subject to more reading". This does not mean that we (or our friend) are blown about "with every wind of doctrine" (Ephesians 4:14), but if we are honest with ourselves and with others, we must acknowledge that human frailty prevents us from a full understanding of Christ and the Word of God:

Some things are simply beyond our understanding:

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable [are] His judgments, and His ways past finding out! -- Romans 11:33

Some things remain hidden from us for the time being, though we be the "sons of God":

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. -- 1 John 3:2

It is therefore our duty to study God's Word (2 Timothy 2:15) that we may be "fitted" (Greek artios), throughly furnished (equipped) unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:17). In doing so we avoid "shame" and demonstrate that we are "approved unto God" (2 Timothy 2:25).

Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. -- 2 Timothy 2:15

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. -- 2 Timothy 3:17
